The RNLI is our chosen charity and needs little introduction. We are eternally thankful to their teams for helping keep our families and guests safe.
The RNLI crew and lifeguards have saved over 142,700 lives since 1824. They are not only a rescue service, but influence, supervise and educate people too. Their Community Safety teams explain the risks and share safety knowledge with anyone going out to sea or the coast.
In addition to the lifeguard teams on our beaches, the RNLI lifeboat volunteers and search and rescue helicopter crews can respond to a situation within minutes and often save lives close to the shore.
We're very lucky in North Devon to have our beaches patrolled throughout the season.
